My paintings are a search for meaning, exploring the repeated patterns in our relationship to the social, familial and natural world. Through a process of intuitive responses to each mark made on the canvas, each decision calls to the next until the paintings’ final place is found.
We have been in a conversation, the painting and I, sometimes over many months.
It is a collaboration and we know it is completed when we both fall silent, the energy is settled and we can say no more is needed.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the d.

2023whispers of you
As war continues, fires rage, people are on the move, my sister is diagnosed with cancer and dies within a few months. This series is an extended love letter, visual poetry that speaks of memory, longing, the being with and being without that we all experience in our lives. Powerful feelings, both mournful and celebratory are behind these paintings. Collectors have commented on how deeply these paintings resonate - from my heart to yours.
2022 Stone Dogs
In the style of cave paintings and carvings on stone and in the landscape, the Stone Dog series was created in response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the displacement of peoples across the world. Raw and primal expression, contrasted with the softness and gentleness of the colour palette, these works explore our need for safety, security and comfort, needs not met during times of conflict in homes and nations. The use of the dog as a symbol draws on memory of the dogs who protected me when violence broke out - the soft warmth reassuring and protecting. It honours dogs working on the front line, sniffing for explosives, drugs, cancer, epilepsy, guiding the sight impaired and healing through their presence and touch.
